Ideal Toy Company

Ideal Toy Company, originally Ideal Novelty and Toy Company, was founded in 1907 by the inventors of the Teddy Bear, Morris and Rose Michtom. They produced a large variety of toys including playsets. The company was sold in 1982 and their continuing products went through a series of owners including Viewmaster International, Tyco Toys Inc, and finally Mattel in 1997.
