Ernst Heinrichsen is a Nürnberg Germany company that produces flat tin soldiers - Zinnfiguren. The company began in 1839 and under three generations of the family produced new figures until 1938. The company continued after WWII but no new molds were created until 1981. Since 1981 they have reissued older figure sets from the original molds. For instance a Zoo set that was first produced in 1869 was re-released in 1994.
