phylum Chordata Adocus beatus (syn. A. punctatus) is an extinct species of freshwater turtles in the family Adocidae, previously considered belonging to the family Dermatemydidae. The diet was omnivorous. The smooth carapace could reach a length of 80 cm. The turtles lived from Late Cretaceous to Paleogene of the United States.
